Tottenham 0-1 Manchester City: Dias scores late to reach FA Cup quarter-finals

Man City overcame a resilient Tottenham side to book their place in the last eight of the FA Cup.

Ruben Dias headed in a Kevin De Bruyne corner with seven minutes remaining as Pep Guardiola's side ended Tottenham's hopes of winning their first trophy since 2008.

In a tight and tense encounter at the Etihad Stadium, the visitors from north London made life difficult for their hosts and could have taken the lead in the first half through Son Heung-min.

But City, without the injured Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, gradually began to assert themselves after the break and deservedly found a way through late on.

The result means City remain on course for a treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, while Antonio Conte's Tottenham will now focus on finishing in the top four and winning the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea later this month.
