Manchester City Secure 3-1 Comeback Victory Over Brentford

Foden's Hat-Trick Propels City to Triumph

Manchester City came from behind to earn a 3-1 victory over Brentford thanks to a superb hat-trick from Phil Foden.

Trailing to an early Brentford goal, City rallied in the second half with Foden scoring three times in the space of 20 minutes to secure all three points. The result moves City back to the top of the Premier League table.

Brentford took the lead in the 16th minute when Yoane Wissa pounced on a loose ball in the City area and fired home. City struggled to create clear-cut chances in the first half, but they emerged from the break with renewed determination.

Foden equalized in the 55th minute with a fine strike from the edge of the area. The England international then put City ahead seven minutes later with a close-range finish after good work from Erling Haaland.

Foden sealed his hat-trick in the 75th minute with a superb solo effort, dribbling past several Brentford defenders before firing home. The victory sees City move one point clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.

For Brentford, the defeat was a disappointing end to a positive run of form. The Bees had won their previous two Premier League matches and had drawn with Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing.

Despite the loss, Brentford remain in 11th place in the table and will be confident of securing a top-half finish this season.
